Michael Bates and Julie Manikas present their Senior Research Projects!

Congrats to Michael and Julie on a great poster presentation, getting Research Distinction awards, and soon to be graduating from Syracuse University! The Hehnly lab is super excited to keep both of them next year as research technicians while they prepare for their next steps.

Erica Colicino in the Hehnly Lab was excited to contribute to the Castaneda’s lab study on “ALS-Linked Mutations Affect UBQLN2 Oligomerization and Phase Separation in a Position- and Amino Acid-Dependent Manner”.

Leica came to talk about STED Microscopy and FLIM!

For our Microscopy in Cell Biology Class Doug Matthew’s of Leica came by last Wednesday to discuss STED and FLIM. It was awesome and he brought us Spring themed donuts!

Our 5th Bio-Art Mixer at the Everson Museum of Art

The 5th Bio-Art Mixer hosted Suzanne Anker (SVA) and John Drake (ESF) this past Friday at the Everson Museum of Art. There was live music, beer, and even a Bio-Art work station for kids! It was a really great event and I can’t wait till our next one next semester. Included are pictures below.
