You can also find it on BioRxiv here: https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.09.07.286237v1.full

Representative images of wild-type (vim +/+) and vimentin-null (vim -/-) mouse embryonic fibroblasts (mEF) on glass slides. Wild-type and vimentin-null mEFs show similar distributions of F-actin stress fibers and paxillin focal adhesions. Confocal images show vimentin (yellow), actin (blue), paxillin (green) and the nucleus (pink). Scale bar, 10 μm.

Bio-Art Mixer (13th) Tonight at 6pm!

by Heidi Hehnly in , , ,

Boryana and I are happy to announce that our 13th Bio-Art Mixer is this Friday Nov 12 at 6pm in the Lundgren Room, 1st Floor Life and Sciences Building!

We have two exceptional speakers Anna Lindemann (https://annalindemann.com) from University of Connecticut and Biology’s own Alum, Kelly Schmid from Cornell University. Anna’s work combines Art and Biology where she uses digital and stop-motion animation, live and electronic music, video, and performance to explore the field of Evolutionary and Developmental Biology. Kelly Schmid is also interested in Evolutionary and Developmental Biology and is incorporating unique teaching strategies to bring her work to broader audiences.

We are attempting this to be a Hybrid event, our FIRST Hybrid Bio-Art mixer!
