Abrar, Lindsay, Julie, and Nikhila did a great job giving oral talks in the morning on the role of cell division, the centrosome, endosomes, and cilia in tissue morphogenesis! Following the talks were posters from Michael, Jess, Michelle, and Nicole. Great job Hehnly Lab!
The role of the centrosome and endosomes during mitosis!
Nikhila did a great job presenting her work on the relationship between centrosomes and the recycling endoscope during division on Thursday Nov 15 in Cell Developmental Biology Interest Group (CDBIG), a seminar series between Syracuse University and Upstate Medical University.
Nikhila Krishnan doing a great job with her talk!
Go Hawks!
I had a great time visiting Iowa and my PhD advisor Mark Stamnes. It was great fun presenting our lab’s work on “the role of division and membrane trafficking in tissue morphogenesis”. It was also nice to see friends and see how much Iowa City has grown!

CNY Zebrafish Conference 2019
Lindsay, Julie, Erin, Abrar, Nikhila, and Jessica all attended the CNY zebrafish conference this year at Syracuse University. Lindsay did a great job with her seminar that utilized an ontogenetic system with the small GTPase Rab11 and Julie presented on PLK1 in the zebrafish embryo during the poster session. Here are some pictures below:
